Colorado Unemployment Remains Low

The U.S. Department of Labor announced the most recent jobless statistics on Friday. The Denver area is reported to have a low 4.4 percent unemployment rate - the same as the low 4.4 percent rate for the nation as a whole. This is down from the metro Denver 4.8 percent rate for the prior month and the 5.0% rate for the same month one year ago. In January of this year, the jobless rate in Denver was at a recent high of 5.3 percent and has been moving downward throughout 2006.
